MERRY EVERYONE AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR

It's that time of year once again as we all prepare for the holidays in our own ways. Some of you may celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Pancha Ganapati, Hogswatch. Or perhaps not even celebrate it at all. Personally, I celebrate Christmas. However, as an Atheist I don't actually celebrate it for the purposes of Christianity. I simply celebrate it for what I believe it should be and that is the one single time of year when things just seem a little better for everyone, a collective sense of joy. that could be free from religion, beliefs and things that tend to separate us. All of that can and should be put aside and we should generally just appreciate having each other's company... and presents of course, I'm not a savage!! hehe

But really. this Blog post is just to wish you all a very Merry [Insert your preferred term] and have a great 2016. I hope that if you are a child then you get what you've asked for and you try not to wake up your parents too early on christmas morning like I used to. and if you're an adult, try not to wake up too late.

In 2016, Witless Reviews will be progressing constantly. the video production quality will be increased and tweaked wherever possible so that you get the best videos you can get. I'm hoping to get myself a Green Screen so that I can get some great new shots for you. I will also be looking into doing prize giveaways, where you could obviously win the occasional prize that I put up. I'll also be trying to upload more videos throughout each week (Though not too many as I don't want to clog up your feeds), and as a side note. I'm wondering what you guys would think about potentially being given Vlogs (I know literally nothing about them, and I don't watch them, but maybe the odd weekly Vlog here and there would be something you'd like to see).

With all that out of the way. please go ahead and get ready for Christmas, As always I'll see you very soon. and by all means, let me know what you get for Christmas as I love knowing what other people are into.

Avengers Encyclopedia

On October 1st, DK Publishings released the latest of their MARVEL books, The Avengers Encyclopedia. Filled with over 200 pages of Superhero geek goodness, The Encyclopedia has virtually every piece of information that a MARVEL fan can hope for.

After taking a look at the book from cover to cover, I can honestly say that this is one of the best and most comprehensive works by DK for its MARVEL line. With a detailed documentation of the Avengers' history, including current and former members, prominent enemies, and even paying attention to the more obscure enemies that Core fans of the series will recognize and appreciate.

The Key Storyline covers every notable event in the Avengers' history, from creation to 2015.

It goes without saying that one of the most important aspects of these DK Books is the inclusion of detailed and gorgeous artwork that accompanies that writings. and the Avengers Encyclopedia does not disappoint on this. with clean and clear illustrations, and character profiles that match the comics perfectly. the artwork here is top-notch and well laid out.

Every page is filled with beautiful images.

So how does the book fare. Well all-in-all colour me impressed. This book has taken its place among my other DK MARVEL books and is at home in the collection.

A Very Witless Welcome

Hello and welcome to the official blog for YouTube's Witless Reviews.

On this Blog you will get to know Witless and generally follow what I do, including information about new products, games, books and so on that I'm interested - and hopefully you are too - So why don't you start following this Blog and come with me as we go on this YouTube journey together.

So what is Witless Reviews? 

Well in short, I love games, figures, books, toys, and generally all things geek-related. I have an ever-growing collection of various things that I would love to share and talk about with you. If you're also interested in these things then you've come to the right place.

I started Witless Reviews because I wanted to show and discuss my interests with people, and with YouTube having the social power that it does, there really was no better place to start than online. I call myself Witless Reviews because I wanted my videos to be kept simple, But 'Simple Reviews' didn't really have a good ring to it, so out came the thesaurus and the word that seemed to define me the most - for better or worse - was Witless. I know, not really the breakout story of how i got my username that you may have been hoping for, but no sense fibbing. 

Witless Reviews is primarily aimed at all ages, that means you won't really get much profanity or crudeness, but to be honest with you that was what I strived for when making the channel. I don't know about you, but I'm kind of tired of the 'character' channels on YouTube that do geek related things. They have their place, but imagine yourself sitting on a bus, on your phone, watching a video with a person screaming and swearing the whole time, It's a bit embarrassing to have people looking round thinking "what on Earth is he/she watching?!". with that scenario - albeit very specific one - in mind. I like to think that you'd feel more comfortable watching Witless Reviews, chilling out and just enjoying not being screamed at. 

Now with all of that out of the way. let's get on with the Blog. I hope to see you here and on YouTube, where I upload regularly with all your favourite things.
